Mac OS Installation Guide

Follow the below procedures when you install 3Rabbitz Book in your Mac OS.

  1. Install Java 6.0 or higher.

  2. Download the installation file for 3Rabbitz Book.

  3. Decompress the installation file for 3Rabbitz Book.

  4. In the terminal, start 3Rabbitz Book.

  5. Run Installation Wizard.

Installing Java 6.0 or Higher

Your Mac OS already has Java installed in it. If the version of Java installed is lower than 6.0 you need to update it.

Checking the Java Version

Follow the below procedures when you check the Java version.

  1. In the dock, go to the <Applications | Utilities> menu and launch the Terminal.

  2. In the terminal, execute the following command.

java -version

If the version is not equal to 1.6 or 1.7, then you will have to update your Java.

Updating Java

Follow the below procedures when you update Java.

  1. In the dock, execute the <System Preferences> menu.

  1. In the bottom of the screen, click on the <System | Software Update> menu.

  2. Click on the <Check Now> button in the Software update to update Java.

Installing 3Rabbitz Book

Download and decompress the installation file. Installation of 3Rabbitz Book will be completed.

  1. Download the Mac OS version of installation file from the 3Rabbitz download page.

  2. After decompressing it, move the 3rabbitz directory to the directory where you want to install the 3Rabbitz Book.

The full path for the directory to be installed should not have space or special character(~!@#$%^&*()_+|"<>':`).

Product Directory Structure

Starting 3Rabbitz Book

3RABBITZ_HOME refers to the directory where 3Rabbitz Book is installed.

  1. In the dock, go to the <Application | Utility> menu and run the terminal.

  2. Move to the 3RABBITZ_HOME/bin directory.

  3. Run the following command.

./startup.sh
  1. Using Installation Wizard perform the initial configuration works.

Terminating 3Rabbitz Book

The following is how you can terminate 3Rabbitz Book.

  1. In the dock, go to the <Application | Utility> menu and run the terminal.

  2. Move to the 3RABBITZ_HOME/bin directory.

  3. Run the following command.

./shutdown.sh
